GETTING FIT FOR TWO

I understand the importance of specialised care for those who are pre or post natal. I am very aware and knowledgable of safe yet effective exercises for both Mother and Baby. There are so many benefits to staying fit during pregnancy, including: an increase in general energy, stronger body, A stronger core and cardiovascular system which may lead to a safer, faster delivery. I suggest ladies to take up Personal Training during their 2nd and 3rd trimester once you have passed the safe zone of 12 weeks. Then begin training again, 4-6 weeks post natal depending on the type of delivery. Post Natal training with a qualified trainer is very important due to the damage to core and pelvic floor muscles during labour. Before going back to intense training it is important that the diastatic recti is closed and if not, that you know the effective exercises to encourage closure.
